The exhibition “Tradition and identity – Slovakia’s cultural heritage in the heart of Europe” was installed in the first half of 2025 in the premises of the European Parliament in Brussels. The event presented a selection of contemporary craft work based on centuries of acquired knowledge and skills in traditional Slovak crafts. The collection prepared by the curators enabled an international public to discover authentic craft artefacts documenting the continuity of art and crafts in Slovakia and its importance in the current cultural context. The exhibition also displayed crafts inscribed on the UNESCO list of intangible hertiage: wire craft, indigo print and the production of fujara shepherd pipes.
