About product
A round faiance pitcher with a bulging body, made of pale red clay, thrown on a wheel. The largest bulge at the halfway mark, with a narrowed and straight neck, a handle emerging from the neck. Design: symbols of the shoemaker’s guild in a wreath, held by two heraldic lions, bouquets of flowers, ornamental bands on the neck and at the bottom of the belly. Inscription around the neck: TS. MATIAS KREKOR ML. ONDRAŠ. GURKOWICH. YEAR 1(?) 71(?). Handle and part of the neck restored (reconstructed and repainted).
