Regional Craft Center of ÚĽUV Bratislava

Since its foundation in 1999, the ÚĽUV Bratislava Regional Craft Center (RCC) has aimed to safeguard and develop traditional crafts and folk art production as part of our cultural heritage. It is located in a historical building in the centre of Bratislava, on Obchodná street, and primarily offers short-term and long-term hobby craft courses for adults, children and young people throughout the year. It organises courses in pottery, woodcarving, weaving from natural materials, wire craft, lace-making, loom weaving and more. However, it also offers other traditional crafts reflecting the results of the specialist activities of other sections of ÚĽUV.

In the field of further education, adults can also attend accredited courses at the ÚĽUV Bratislava RCC. During the school year, craft workshops are available for schools, as well as excursions with the opportunity to try out certain crafts and made a small item. Adults can experience this discovery of crafts as a teambuilding activity.

In July and August, the ÚĽUV School of Crafts is taken over by weekly camps as part of the popular Holiday with Crafts day camps for children aged from 8 to 15. In the last week in August, adults can also experience the Summer School of Crafts.
