Marina Kniazeva graduated from embroidery and graphic design. After graduation she chose the career of a graphic designer and became a successful art director in several prestigious magazines promoting life style. For many – a dream job, but the talented artist was attracted back to embroidering. She moved to Montenegro with her family and Submarina was born – her jewellery and clothing accessories brand using an ancient embroidery technique with golden thread, which originated in China. This Russian artist today creates modern accessories and jewels using space and depth and for this purpose she has created her own technique of full plastic embroidery by metal thread using the skills of the traditional embroiders of medieval Russia.
