Igor Prilinský makes a living from his craft. After studying artistic and craft woodworking at the Secondary Furniture-making Vocational School in Pravenec (Prievidza district) and completing his military service, he resisted job offers both from the army and from his home school and decided to go into business on his own in the field of artistic carpentry and woodworking; he has remained faithful to this craft until today. Igor Prilinský was awarded the title of Master of Folk Art Production in 2018, mainly for preserving disappearing knowledge on working with tree stump tissue.
