Synergy of family craft, sustainability and design

Jana Žifčáková, otherwise known as Jana Ziva, is the fourth generation of women in her family to devote herself to weaving. She idealised the weaving craft, characterised by its calm rhythm, on her regular returns to her native village of Rejdová as she watched her grandmother at work. It was only just as she reached the age of forty that she felt with certainty that her work in a large corporation was causing her family life to slip through her fingers. She returned to her roots and founded the brand ZIVA DESIGN which now gives her independence and a very popular work-life balance.
