The sustainable development of society and its cultural particularities is closely linked to the economic development of countries and regions. The growth of communities is influenced above all by economic growth and factors. It includes not only a material base, but also an intangible layer consisting of socio-cultural values and traditions which are an important identification symbol of communities and their cultural heritage. One of the important elements of our cultural heritage, which also plays an important role in the context of sustainability, is craft and folk art production. For eighty years, the Centre for Folk Art Production (ÚĽUV) has been working on their development, preservation, contemporary use and future perspectives, not only on a theoretical level, but also on a practical one.
