The manufacturer focused on making string musical instruments - zithers. He fully devoted himself to production during retirement. He primarily made zithers from maple and spruce wood, but also used lime, plum, cherry, and walnut wood. The zithers were decorated with carved, painted, and burnt ornaments. He played a key role in establishing several children's zither ensembles between 1970 and 1984.
