As a child, she embroidered simple stitches and motifs on women’s and men’s folk costume accessories. In 1947, she started collaborating with the ÚĽUV (Centre for Folk Art Production). She began with Cicmany cut embroidery. In 1983, she designed a collection of embroideries with the Žilina cut and in 1988, she embarked on designing intricate embroidery techniques using counted thread from the 18th century. In 1988, she obtained a certification as a master of folk art production in the field of embroidery, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Folk Art Workers.
