He comes from Veľká Lehôtka and, alongside his work on the railway, dedicated himself to woodcarving. He fully immersed himself in his hobby upon retirement. He is counted among the significant figures of amateur woodcarvers. Woodcarving brings him relief and joy, which he is able to convey to others through his sculptures. He infuses his childhood memories into lime or walnut wood, from which he can create images of people working, relaxing, or joyously celebrating with music. His figurines are robust yet endowed with lively movement; he skillfully stylizes the essence of the story into essential features. In Východná, he materialized his creative abilities between 1984 and 1987 in large-scale sculptures of a Spinner and a Beekeeper-Bear. In 1988, he exhibited together with Peter Slosiar and Mária Hrabinská in the showcases of the amphitheater complex. The exhibition was organized on the occasion of their round life anniversaries.
