She learned to weave already in childhood from her mother and perfected her skills with her mother-in-law Mária Čulková. She utilized techniques used in eastern Slovakia in folk weaving, such as various types of weft twills, rips, block weaves, different bindings, and other small, intricate patterns. She became active in 1956 and in 1964 she obtained a certificate as a master of folk artistic production in the weaving sector, awarded by the Commission for Evaluating the Professional Qualifications of Workers in Folk Art Production
