Ľudovít Ďureje worked for some time as a leading worker in Slovak folk majolica in Modra, later working at the Secondary School of Applied Arts as a professor of specialized subjects in the ceramic department. He collaborated with the Crafts and Art Industry Association (ÚĽUV) for many years. He produces majolica – plates, vases, bowls, boxes. In addition to majolica, he is also involved in the production of traditional pottery products. He is interested in old traditional techniques. He is a guildmaster of the guild of Slovak potters.

In 1988, he obtained a certificate of recognition as a master of folk art production in the field of ceramics, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Workers in Folk Art Production.
