At the age of 13, she started embroidering completely independently. She helped her mother embroider dresses for the women in the town. In 1955, she began collaborating with the ÚĽUV. She mastered the technique of Horehronie embroidery perfectly. In 1960, she obtained a certificate recognizing her as a master of folk art production in the field of embroidery, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Qualifications of Folk Art Workers.
