She learned to weave in childhood from her mother, who collaborated with the ÚĽUV. She mastered all weaving techniques from the Vyšné Ružbachy region. In 1964, she obtained a certificate of qualification as a master of folk art production in the weaving field, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Folk Art Workers.
