For many years he worked as an external teacher at the Vocational School of Woodworking in Zvolen, specializing in the production of musical instruments. He started carving in 1984. He began with making ladles, then moved on to making whistles, mouthpieces, and later also to making fujaras. All of his musical instruments are tuned. He gained knowledge and experience gradually from several folk producers, but mostly from Ladislav Libica. Currently, he works at the Regional Crafts Center of ULUV in Banska Bystrica. In collaboration with ULUV, he contributed to the publication of the brochure Fujaras, whistles (2004). As a producer and musician, he participates in significant folk festivals at home and abroad. He has received several awards for his craftsmanship: 2nd place in the international competition Creativity and Craft at the European Court of Crafts in Bratislava (1998), a prize in the national competition and exhibition of folk art Creative Interests of Man in Ruzomberok (1992, 2002), the Instrumentum excellens FSD certificate in Detva (2001 for whistles, 2002 for fujaras).

In 2008, he obtained a certification for the qualification of Master of Folk Artistic Production in the field of musical instrument production, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Folk Art Workers.
