His love for wood and inspiration from his grandfather, who made wooden dishes, led him to folk art production. He dedicated himself to shepherding art from 1970. He crafted traditional Gemer wooden ladles, molds for wooden shingles, salt cellars, and cooking pots. He aimed to preserve the traditional shapes and decorations of shepherd’s utensils.
He participated in various events: folklore festivals in Východná and Detva, EĽRO in Kežmarok, Masters’ Days of ÚĽUV in Bratislava. In 1992, he obtained a qualification certificate as a master of folk art production in the woodcraft sector, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Folk Art Production Workers.
