Vlastimil Havlíček trained at the Majolika Modra School of Applied Arts, where he worked for some time. In the 1980s, he became independent and worked for the ULUV (Center for Folk Art Production) as a majolica maker.

When decorating his products, he incorporates patterns from old pottery regions – Dechtice, Košolná, and Modra. His range includes peasant pitchers, jugs, ladles, bottles, mugs, boxes, beverage sets, tableware, miniatures, as well as both edge and figurative sculptures. He participates in various craft fairs and showcases, including the Masters’ Days organized by the ULUV.

In 2001, he obtained a certificate recognizing his qualification as a master of folk art production in ceramics, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Workers in Folk Art Production.
