Native of Banska Bystrica. Graduated from the Wood Industry Secondary School in Zvolen, specializing in the production of musical instruments, and the Wood Faculty of the Technical University in Zvolen. He is a doctoral student at the Department of Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Applied Mechanics (since 2004) – working on the topic of the Physical-Acoustic Properties of Wood in the Production of String Instruments. He became familiar with flute and fujara production in high school. He has been making violins since 1996. His teachers were Ján Nemček and Ing. Juraj Vančík. By 2005, he had produced 13 instruments (violins, viola, one guitar). Winner of the Instrumentum Excellens award for violin at the competition of makers of traditional folk musical instruments at the Folk Art Production Festival in Detva in 2005.
