As a child, she experienced how all women in the household processed linen, hemp, and wool, and then made textiles for the household – sacks, towels, sheets, quilts, and costume components. In 1955, when employees of the Folk Art Production sought weavers in the Banska Bystrica region, she was among the first to apply. She drew motifs and patterns for fabrics from old traditional textiles. In 1964, she obtained a master craftsman certificate in the field of weaving, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Folk Art Production Workers
