J. Jánoš worked at ÚĽUV since 1962. In the early years of collaboration, he focused on producing decorative items – carved pigeons, turtles, and peacocks. Later, using a similar carving technique, he also made lamps, where he attached a lime coat to a wire frame, which he could shape into various forms. J. Jánoš was a regular participant at the ÚĽUV Master Days event and worked with children in the Crafts Yard. In 1988, he obtained a master craftsman certification in folk art production in the wood sector, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Folk Art Production Workers.
