He is one of the most famous woodcarvers of Upper Nitra. He has been carving sculptures and reliefs for decades and his apartment has gradually become a kind of folk gallery. The themes of his works are mainly figurative – drawing from the traditional culture of Slovak villages, he particularly elaborates on shepherd motifs. He is also close to national themes, the processing of which has a balladic character. He achieves a more pronounced character of carving lines in some cases by carving into bog oak. He most often uses the soft wood of the linden and black poplar. Skillfully, he can also make several types of folk musical instruments – especially whistles and fujaras with traditional decoration, which he achieves mainly by the technique of so-called intaglio or nitric acid etching.
