She comes from Veľká Lehôtka and set off to Veľká Čausa. Her family already had very good relationships with Mária Ďurdinová, the soul of egg decorating in Veľká Čausa. She was the godmother of her sister and her father used to help the Ďurdins with construction work. Therefore, she had the opportunity to get to know the charm of egg decorating already in her youth, which was done daily at the Ďurdins. Due to her passion for drawing, she especially liked the patterns on the eggs. She actively started producing them in 1982. She inherited her drawing talent from her father, the folk carver Ján Čertík, who made beautiful folk figurative sculptures such as nativity scenes, wooden pitchers, fujaras. She learned to decorate eggs during her maternity leave, when she already lived near Mária Ďurdinová, and immediately started cooperating with the ÚĽUV. Her first eggs were batik painted with a needle, decorated with geometric patterns, later also with figurative motifs. Later, she moved on to relief waxed eggs, batik painted with a tube, and eggs decorated with straw, always according to the demands of the ÚĽUV for egg exports. The same applied to perforated eggs, which she first drilled by hand. She mostly came up with the patterns for all techniques herself, but also created based on designs by the artists of the ÚĽUV. Her work is creative and technically precise. In 2004, she was awarded the title of Master of Folk Art Production along with other egg decorators from Čausa.
