He apprenticed at the School of Applied Arts in Modra. He is dedicated to producing utility and decorative ceramics, using both majolica and pottery manufacturing techniques. He finds inspiration in the shapes and patterns of old Haban master craftsmen. In the 1980s and 1990s, he collaborated in one workshop with the outstanding majolica painter Miroslav Durgal. Together, they created and manufactured a collection of plates, bowls, and other utility and decorative products with Haban motifs. In 1986, he obtained a certificate recognizing his qualification as a folk artistic producer in the field of ceramics, granted by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Folk Art Workers.
