He is self-taught in his field. His talent for creating majolica sculptures led him to this craft, which he demonstrated while painting pictures and carving wooden sculptures. He has been engaged in sculpture-making since 1979. He draws inspiration from his own memories and the memories of elderly people. In 1990, he obtained a certificate recognizing his qualifications as a master of folk art pottery production, awarded by the Commission for the assessment of professional competence of workers in folk art production.
