For many years, he worked at the Folk Art Production Centre (ÚĽUV) as a warehouse keeper of production materials. Here, he became acquainted with the production of slippers, which fascinated him so much that he began producing woven slippers using wrist technique for ÚĽUV from 1970 onwards. He mastered the technology of weaving woolen hair, solved the height of slippers, and became one of the best experts in this technique. At the request of the Educational Institute, he led a course for beginners in slipper production. His products were sought after both at home and abroad. In 1984, he obtained a certificate of recognition as a master of folk art production in the field of weaving, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Qualifications of Workers in Folk Art Production
