He inherited his talent from his father, a skilled cooper who made various types of utility vessels used in shepherd’s huts, households, and vineyards. His father’s rich experience, advice, and craftsmanship found a diligent successor, a collaborator, and now the bearer of the family tradition in his son. He intimately knows the properties of wood, the preparation, and the technology of the unique cooperage production nowadays. He has shifted his production towards utility, but still preserves the original range, production technology, and terminology. He manufactures various types of utility vessels used in shepherd’s huts, households, and vineyards: churns, troughs, bowls of various shapes, and many other products intended for dining.
He showcases his products at various events, where he also demonstrates his production: Master Days of ÚĽUV in Bratislava, EĽRO in Kežmarok, Radvanský Fair in Banská Bystrica, Folklore Festivities in Detva, Days of the city of Banská Bystrica.
Since 1994, he has been collaborating with ÚĽUV. In 2006, he obtained a certificate of qualification recognition as a master of folk art production in the field of cooperage production, awarded by the Commission for assessing the professional competence of workers in the field of folk art production.
