Martina Piatková graduated in Puppetry Creation and Scenography at the Theatre Faculty of Bratislava’s Academy of Performing Arts. She developed her artistic skills at the School of Applied Arts in Kremnica, specializing in Toy and Decorative Object Creation under the guidance of Professor Tibor Uhrín. Puppeteer, wireworker, and illustrator Martina Piatková navigates the world of fairy tales, nature, and innate human playfulness. While creating puppets and props at the Bratislava Puppet Theatre, she indulges in absolute creative freedom through her illustrations and the making of wire sculptures and jewelry. Described as “drawing with wire in space,” her works resemble illustrations for fairy tales and stories.
