He worked in the management structures of the JRD, after a serious car accident from the mid-1990s he became a disabled pensioner. In this situation, he began making whistles according to the pattern left by his father. He has musical ambitions in the interpretation of popular music and literary ambitions (contributions to Nové slovo). He produces non-drilled, riffled, and six-hole whistles, mostly from hornbeam. According to regional patterns, he wraps the whistles in cherry bark or covers two-thirds of the instrument’s body with cherry bark and the remaining part from the mouthpiece with birch bark. He also produces whistles in a manner that was predominant in traditional production – splits a hazel twig and after hollowing out the tube and processing the joints, he covers the instrument with cherry bark. Lately, he has also tested a common technological procedure of production, typical for northwestern Slovakia – an aluminum tube with a wooden blowing device and the corresponding diameter covered with cherry bark. Such instruments are characterized by a distinct sound quality and easy tuning. In the mid-1990s, he also made his first fujara from aluminum, later he leaned towards wood. He also decorates the instruments by staining the bodies dark brown and then carving predominantly botanical ornaments into them with a chisel and bow chisel.
