He began carving out of a need to express memories of childhood in the village. That’s how his figures of wireworkers, seeders, woodcutters, and women were born. What started as a momentary fascination eventually turned into a lasting passion. He participated in the outdoor event Carved into Wood in Východná (1984 and 1988), held solo exhibitions in Čadca (1989 and 2004). His large-scale sculptures can be found in the Museum of Kysuce Village, in the Institute for Disabled Children in Oščadnica, in Babíne, as well as in Bystřice in Moravia. His works are represented in the collections of the Kysuce Museum in Čadca, the Beskydy Museum in Frýdek-Místek in Moravia, the Kysuce Gallery, and the Slovak National Gallery in Bratislava.
