He has been dedicated to the production of folk furniture since childhood. He was introduced to this craft by his father, who was a long-time collaborator of ÚĽUV. He makes tables, chairs, stools, benches, beds, kitchens, bedrooms, and children's rooms. The products from the Polákovci workshop are featured in Slovak fairy-tale films Plavčík and Vratko, Mahuliena, Golden Maiden, and others.
