Ľubica Poncik graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, majoring in applied arts with a specialization in textiles. As a student, she already creatively participated in many domestic and international exhibitions and competitions. Her work is inspired by traditions, Slovak folk embroidery, and Haban ceramics. In her clothing and textile design, she also utilizes modern technologies, giving her creations a contemporary and timeless expression. Her pieces have been showcased in exhibitions and fashion shows in France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, England, and within the V4 countries. In 2016, she participated in the international fashion show and competition FASHION CULT FERRARI in Rome, where she was awarded a diploma. Through the project of the Open Atelier by the Center for Folk Art Production, she initiates and promotes collaborations with designers and craft producers, designing utility items not only in textiles but also in non-textile material groups.
