In his childhood, he took wireworking as part of family life, as his grandfather in Dlhé Pole was an excellent wireworker Jakub Šerík, son-in-law of the legendary Jozef Holánik-Bakeľ, who in the first decades of the 20th century owned a thriving wireworking workshop in Warsaw
