The strong tradition of manufacturing cimbaloms in the region was the motivation for this artisanal activity, as well as the construction of an instrument for his daughter, who began learning to play the cimbalom at the School of Arts under A. Budinský. He received guidance from the son of a well-known cimbalom maker from Nová Baňa, J. Tužinský (who, during his lifetime, built 8 cimbaloms and 20 violins among other instruments). His practical training in instrument construction involved dismantling and repairing two cimbaloms by the brand Primáš. It was only after successfully repairing them that he began creating his own instrument in 1997. He crafted the resonant board from high-quality wood from a 40-year-old exercise beam and used his own string-dampening construction. Since 1998, the instrument has been used as a practice instrument at the School of Arts in Vígľaš.
