The native of Kremnica, trained tinsmith roofer, worked in various construction companies. He gained shallow knowledge of folk musical instruments as a young visitor to folklore festivals in Detva and Východná. He is self-taught in the field of folk art production. The assortment of his products consists of whistles, fujaras, bagpipes, and, in the 90s, also trough fiddles. He primarily uses the Podpolian artistic arsenal in decorating whistles. However, he also embarked on a path where he soaks the instrument to a dark brown and then reveals the natural color of its wood with a carved ornament. For bagpipes, he is inspired by the instruments of Dominik Garaj from Veľká Lehota. He also creates figurative sculptures with themes of traditional folk culture.
