As a certified bell-maker and founder, he began casting bells out of personal passion. He actively started producing them from 1927. He cast them in 14 sizes ranging from small decorative bells to bells for grazing livestock, all the way to bells with signaling function. His name became a mark of quality among manufacturers. He passed on his knowledge to his son Stanislav. In 1967, he obtained a certification as a master of folk art production in the field of bell manufacturing, awarded by the Commission for assessing the professional competence of folk art workers.
