He had been involved in production since 1945 and began working with ÚĽUV in 1966. He apprenticed with his father, a former bell maker. He produced bells in fourteen sizes according to molds inherited directly from his father. His name became a hallmark of quality among cast bell makers. In 1990, he obtained a qualification certificate as a master of folk art production in the metal sector, awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Competence of Workers in Folk Art Production.
