He worked at Agrostav, in State Forests, in Stredoslovenská Cement Works; now he is a craftsman. He makes traditional Valachian pottery and folk musical instruments, primarily flutes and bagpipes. His interest in musical instruments dates back to the early 1970s when he bought a fujara from Matúš Nosáľ from Vígľaš. The Štesko brothers from Banská Bystrica brought new, higher quality to his instrument making in the mid-1980s, guiding him in the technical and decorative aspects of instrument making. The decoration reflects the aesthetic and motivational canon of Podpoľanie. His instruments are reliable in sound and well-crafted in decoration. As a skilled solo instrumentalist, he collaborated with folklore ensembles Urpín, Mladosť, Bystrina from Banská Bystrica, and Hrochotan from Hrochoť
