He learned the craft from his father. He weaved various shapes of straw baskets for dining, baskets with lids, bread baskets, and pot holders. He followed the traditional round and oval straw weaving. He was a long-time collaborator of the Centre for Folk Art Production. He showcased and presented his mastery in working with woven straw at various events, such as the Masters of Folk Art Production Days in Bratislava, EĽRO in Kežmarok, exhibitions in Novej Bane, Žiar nad Hronom, and Ružomberok. In 2006, he obtained a certification as a master of folk art production in the field of straw production awarded by the Commission for Assessing the Professional Qualification of Folk Art Production Workers.
