He was born on September 2, 1980 in Dolný Kubín, he received his artistic education from 1995-2000 at the Secondary School of Electrical Engineering in Nižná, specializing in artistic and craft wood processing. He graduated from the Basic Art Schools in Ružomberok and Dolný Kubín, and currently studies Visual Arts Education at the Faculty of Education at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. In his artistic work, Zrník prefers drawing and graphic design, creatively complemented by a combination of other techniques. He draws inspiration from nature and visually stylized stimuli, creating interesting shapes and dynamic handwritten compositions. Woodcarving is also a significant part of his work. In 2000, he participated in the “Exlibris of Children and Youth Žary 2000 in Poland”, where he won 1st place in the 3rd category. Zrník had his first solo exhibition as a student at the P. M. Bohúň Art School in Dolný Kubín in 2001. That same year, with the graphic work “Motion I”, he participated in the regional and national rounds of the “Visual Spectrum 2002” competition, attended the artists’ salon and national creative workshop AMA 2002 in Prievidza, the International Youth Meeting “Europe of Peace” in Katowice (2004), exhibited and organized the Exhibition E in Dolný Kubín, and is a regular participant in the International Art Workshops in Myslenice and Babín. In 2006, he also presented his work in Ukraine.
