Since 1972, she has been dedicated to crafting with husks. At that time, she was looking for work and, thanks to a friend’s recommendation, she had the opportunity to make figurines out of corn husks for the ÚĽUV. Together with her husband, they had a great passion for husk production. They made various types of figures and wooden components (small houses, nativity scenes, etc.) according to the samples provided by the ÚĽUV. They obtained material for production from friends and neighbors in the village. They stored it in large quantities in the attic at her parents’ house. Crafting with husks is her lifelong passion, to which she lovingly devotes herself daily, despite health problems.
