About product
Embroidery embellishing the product is inspired by the folk costume from the villages of Čataj and Veľký Grôb near Bratislava. It is characterized by stylized floral ornamentation and a full flat embroidery stitch. The embroidery is done on thin linen canvas following pre-drawn lines with a single-color embroidery thread-pearl cotton. A special feature is outlining motifs with a different colored thread.
As a little child, she helped her mother and grandmother mark and place motifs for full pre-embroidered design. At the age of 10, she got her own frame and started embroidering. In 1964, she began collaborating with the ÚĽUV (Center for Folk Art Production)....
