The blanket is embroidered on factory linen canvas with a regular warp with pearls. Geometric motifs characterize the ornamentation of the Horehronie embroidery, in which squares predominated embroidered with multi-colored threads. New simpler and more demanding embroidery techniques are applied. Ordinary and plaited cross stitches, satin stitch, cutout and pea stitching represent the basic techniques in Horehronie embroidery. In addition to these, many others are represented, such as “krkovička”, “mešterka reťiazky” and “krivinka”.
