The jug has several openings (spouts) on the edge of the neck, where the opening above the jug’s ear is used for drinking and other spouts need to be clogged with fingers (the rim of the neck and the ear reaching from the inside to the bottom are hollow). This way the drinker takes a sip without spilling.
