It is popularly called a pitcher. Hand thrown on a potter’s wheel with a molded spout, handle attached by slip, fired once, dipped in white opaque glaze, into which a single-color (colorful) plant-themed decoration is painted – various variations, fired a second time in an electric ceramic kiln.
Vlastimil Havlíček trained at the Majolika Modra School of Applied Arts, where he worked for some time. In the 1980s, he became independent and worked for the ULUV (Center for Folk Art Production) as a majolica maker.
