About product
It is popularly called a jug jug according to its shape. The jug serves to hold liquids, especially water. The narrow neck protects from warm air access and keeps the liquid longer in a cool state. It is made of white clay based on patterns from Gemer. Hand-turned on a potter’s wheel, decorated with a belt motif below the neck of the vessel by applying dark brown and reddish-brown clay – wide waves, lines, thin waves, or scraped and painted geometric ornament – various variations. Inside glazed with transparent colorless glaze, the neck and handle from the outside green and the larger part of the vessel on the outside unglazed. High firing ensures high utility properties.
He learned the craft of Slovak folk majolica in Modra, actively starting production in 1985
