Pitcher with a narrow neck and handle, commonly known as a jug. The narrow neck prevents rapid air access and maintains the liquid in a cooler state for longer. Made according to traditional models of pottery production from the Gemer region. Hand-thrown on a potter’s wheel from white clay. The section below the neck is decorated with painted band decoration, consisting of lines and waves of various thicknesses, made from black and reddish-brown clay. The decoration is dominated by a thick band of reddish-brown line, with an interrupted ornament, complemented by black specks. The inside is glazed with a transparent glaze, while the neck and handle are glazed in green from the outside. The majority of the vessel’s exterior is left unglazed.
