Pitcher with a narrow neck and handle, popularly known as a “stopper.” The narrow neck protects against the entry of warm air and keeps the liquid longer in a cool state. Made according to traditional patterns of pottery production from the Gemer region. Hand-thrown on a potter’s wheel from white clay. Below the neck, it is decorated with a painted ribbon decoration consisting of lines and wave-like patterns of various thicknesses, made from dark brown and reddish-brown clay. The decoration is dominated by a thick band of dark brown line, broken by an ornament. The interior is glazed with a transparent glaze, while the neck and handle are glazed in green from the outside. The larger part of the vessel from the outside is unglazed.
