Grease pot – container for grease (ointment / egg) used to spread on the surface of baked goods with a brush during baking. The grease pot and plate are hand-turned on a potter’s wheel, made of pale earthenware clay. The grease pot has a modeled handle and a gently sloping upper edge. Both parts are glazed in a matte green glaze, which beautifully accentuates all the clay creases. The high firing of the earthenware ensures high utility properties.
