The apron is made from the original hemp. Cut-out parts of the embroidery are sewn or stitched along with lace onto a newer factory canvas. The embroidery is sewn on hemp canvas with unbleached hemp thread. The front and bottom of the apron are traced and sewn with a full flat stitch. The multi-pair bobbin lace is attached to cotton canvas horizontally with embroidered pea stitches in the middle of the apron and vertically at the bottom. The lower edge is hemmed with lace made from thicker flax threads. The side edges of the apron are bordered with narrow bobbin lace.
