Habánsky Yard in the village of Veľké Leváre was established in 1588 and was assigned the status of folk architecture preserve area in 1981 for being an untouched and unique urban complex. The house underwent a preservation reconstruction between 1997 and 2002. A new permanent exhibition presenting the history of Veľké Leváre from the Middle Ages till 1950s was opened in November 2006 in the Izer´s House. In addition, the exhibition discloses the origin of habans – Anabaptists (Anabaptism formed in the Alps regions around the early 15th century) and their arrival to Veľké Leváre in 1588. The history depiction concentrates on the transformation from collective to individual farming (1686) and conversion to Catholicism (1761 – 1782) and presents the development of family and religious life as well as the education of young generation. The most numerous part of exhibition covers crafts, particularly production of knife blades, cutlery, cabinetmaking, wheelwrighting, jar making, weaving, tailoring and shoemaking and displays original texts, photos and collections.
